

Thaddeus Black is a new independent band from Hartford, CT that performs high-energy original rock combining virtuosity, pop sensibility and a wide array of songwriting influences. Four lifelong musicians from very different backgrounds combine to create a new, exciting synthesis of rock, classical, R&B, jazz and world music that remains accessible and memorable. Their sound has been described as evoking Steely Dan, The Police, P-Funk, The Beatles, Yes and Tony Williams' Lifetime.

Thaddeus Black is: Robert Joeckel on lead vocals and guitars, Chuck Peterson on drums (both Rob and Chuck are formerly of Jaeme Brennan and the Electric Soul), Chris Anander on guitars and vocals (formerly of Karma and The Ders) and Nate Fountain on bass and vocals (countless local R&B and gospel ensembles and Jaeme Brennan).
